Managing Principals The Managing Principals of Chartwell Capital are experienced experts in acquiring, managing, developing, leasing and selling virtually every type of commercial and residential properties from commercial strip centers to office high rises and low income apartments to luxury golf course communities. Their individual experience ranges from 15 years to to 35 years. The roots of Chartwell go back to 1973 when Jerry Long founded a residential development company called Custom Living Homes which by the late 1980s had become one of the largest privately owned home building companies in the country. All of the managing principals have known and worked with Mr. Long for no less than ten and as many as thirty years. Their group experience involves the construction and sale of several thousand homes, apartments, townhouses, condominiums, conversions. luxury estates, planned unit communities, country club and championship golf course, retail centers and office buildings. They have built over a hundred miles of roads. They have leased, sold and managed millions of square feet of retail, office and industrial and commercial space.
