Dan Gural
Only a few years after graduating from college, Dan Gural, rose to the position of site acquisition and development manager for a large regional developer on the east coast. In that capacity the group that he headed acquired, obtained entitlements for, developed and leased and/or sold approximately 1,700,000 square feet of commercial, industrial and retail properties. Mr. Gural directly supervised a host of third party professionals and others to accomplish the company's objectives. This included working closely with lawyers, engineers, environmental specialist, architects, planners and various political groups and regulatory agencies.
Mr. Gural left this position to form his own real estate and development firm. His company successfully acquired a retired landfill, remediated environmental issues and obtained entitlements for a golf course, 212,000 square feet commercial campus and a 221 boat slip marina. Subsequently, Mr. Gural's company remediated another site and obtained approvals for a 465 bed student housing complex.
Mr. Gural's firm worked on projects with Mr. Long and Mr. Casse and other large developers. All together, Mr. Gural was responsible for the acquisition, entitlement and sale of projects grossing $250,000,000 in sales and leases for residential, commercial and industrial development.
As an interesting sideline of note during this period, Mr. Gural invented a gaming machine for car racing now called Hot Traxx which is currently utilized by several states to produce about $40,000,000 per year in gaming revenues. As a corollary to the gaming invention, he was involved in bringing many of the NASCAR household names to race in a series of races at local short tracks in the northeast.
